when He speaks…

Okey, not sure if you guys read one of my (PRETTY) old posts.. entitled ‘Coincidence? I think not‘ but it was ’bout my Christian walk.. when it was pretty dry & well, God is a God of second chances and he got me all fired up again.

Well.. as some of you know, we had a conference about a week ago from the 16th to 19th December. We had to wake up really early and sleep pretty late since conference was from 8.30am till 10pm everyday(and it usually drags on a bit). So yeah, I was too tired to even look at my bible & do my devotions during that 4 days. But ok la, after conference was over, I began to get even MORE lazy as Christmas was coming and our practices & stuff got more intense. So I came up with more & more excuses to NOT read my bible & do my devotions.

So now, seeing as to how Christmas has passed.. something gave me that little push (again) to read my bible (yet AGAIN). So as I was looking at my devotion materials, there was this verse.. it was Colossians 1: 27 that says something about Him being in us and so I opened my bible to that verse la.. and as I was reading.. something prompted me to go a few versus earlier.
And when I did, what I read just made me go.. WOW. It gave me mixed feelings really. I was scared, yet happy at the same time. The verse goes like this;

Colossians 1:20-23

[20]And by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven & on earth by means of his blood on the cross. [21]This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies separated from him by your evil thoughts & actions, [22]yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy & blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. [23] BUT you must continue to believe this truth & stand in it firmly. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed by God to proclaim it.

So yeah, that was what I read, and it was as if He was speaking to me.. lecturing me; warning me. It was pretty scary though. AND I DONT THINK IT WAS COINCIDENCE LA. I mean.. a WHOLE BIBLE, and I go to THAT VERY VERSE. He’s amazing.

I always wondered what it’d be like to have God speak to me, and now I know. It happened once before. And I got lectured during the first time too. So yeah. TwT But yeah, today was a crazy devotion time spent. But very glad a did it.

ALSO, before doing up this little post, I stumbled across this video entitled True Meaning of a Christian. Its really short, but really inspiring. Merry belated CHRISTMAS.
