Sayonara

At  about 12.30am today, I watched a friend, a classmate of 2 years & schoolmate of 5, walk through the KLIA immigration doors & onto a plane off to Switzerland. Its 4.25am now & I still can’t believe I wont be seeing her for about 3 years.

 

Her name is Marianne.

BUT LIFE GOES ON…. so I hope you have a good life there & DON’T HESITATE TO CALL BACK IF YOU NEED ANYTHING.

Its only been about 4 hours since you left.. but I miss you already. ): SO. CALL. BACK. IM YOUR GRANNIE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

Chinese new year

So its 3.06am right now & im supposed to be up in 3 hours’ time to head to ipoh, but im here… playing with my phone.

my souvenirs

November 6th, 2011. Today marks not only the LAST DAY OF SPM, but also the last time we get to be ACTUAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. 

Its been a wild ride & its off to college/uni for everyone next year. BUT IT WAS GOOD WHILE IT LASTED.

& I must say, i’ve been terribly & wonderfully blessed to have known each & every single one of my classmates. We’ve been through thick and thin together. The sunny days as well as the gloomy days. We had each others’ backs, & I will forever be thankful for all the moments we shared.

So here’s to the REST OF OUR LIVES. 4 & 5 Jati of 2010 & 2011. We rocked socks.

Thank you for giving me such sweet memories. These will forever be my souvenirs.

Ipoh, then Penang, then Ipoh again

blogging from one of the hottest states in malaysia; Ipoh, Perak. SWEATING LIKE SIAO. But the ice cold tau fu fah is DA BOMB la. ;D

Just got back from Penang late last night. Gonna be spending today & tomorrow here in Ipoh. Its super humid here & it was crazy cloudy back in penang. Super drastic change in weather & temperature maaan. ;_;

ANYWAYSSS, penang was fun. The food was teh awesome. The ”bak kopi peng”(iced white coffee) was super gooooood & the laksa, omg the laksa was AMAZIIIIING. Visited a number of places.. the botanical garden, penang hill, etc etc.

The cafe on top of penang hill was SUPER AWESOME. It was located on a hill ON TOP of penang hill, so it was really nice & cool. Everything in there was vintage & englishey. I even made friends with a caterpillar & I named it Cat. Oh yeah, Creativity’s my middle name. ;D

So the cafe was really pretty & vintage. Its insides & outs were all englishey. <3 EVEN THE TOILET BOWLS WERE VINTAGE.

okey, so enough with the cafe.. the place was pretty sweet. Mum even managed to visit her penang couz who owns 2 sports cars! o_o She was nice.

So mum was pretty happy she got to meet up with her couz after not seeing each other for about 20 years? So yeah. And after that we went to have dinner together & then we went back to the hotel & then to the beach. You could barely see anything but you could hear the waves. It was really nice.

Anyway yeah, overall the trip was a fun one.

Thank You for giving me this opportunity to spend such an amazing time with my family & giving us journey mercy. I owe You Dad.

 

I left my mark in Penang.

Its been 17 years & I thank God for everything & for blessing me with friends like these.
15th April 2011. the family. <3

Craziest birthday ever. Celebrated it in my humble home with Ernie, Geok Suan, Lee Yin, Lynn, Marianne, Pricilla, Shiao Yen, Suwen & Ying. We had steamboat with loads and loads of fooood. It was like a steamboat mix karaoke mix korean drama marathon mix a whole lot of other stuff.

And because it was steamboat, shiao yen brought SOTONG & it wasn’t cut or washed yet.. SO WE CUT & WASHED IT.. OURSELVES(marianne, shiao yen, suwen & I). It was smelly, slimy & disgusting, but it was crazeh fun.

YES, WE ARE HOLDING SOTONG LEGS. hurhurhur.

 And without a doubt, this has been the craziest, smelliest, noisiest, loudest, awesomest, messiest birthday ever.

PRE-CNY celebration

I know.. CNY‘s over.. however, better late than never I reckon.

SOOOO, you know how CNY dinners/reunions/get-togethers/visits/etc are always painfully awkward for the most of us? (‘specially for those of us who DONT SPEAK CHINESE. :/)

Well, someone(a friend from school; not exactly sure who) had this splendid idea that we should celebrate CNY TOGETHER.

All of us- the NON-CHINESE-SPEAKING people, should have our very own ENJOYABLE cny.

Long story short, we celebrated it by having our very own PRE-CNY LUNCH. & since it WAS after all CNY, we had DIM SUM.

It came up to about a hundred bucks but each of us paid a mere RM3+, i think? & DID I MENTION MY GUI LIN GAO was FREEEE? ;D NO, IT WAS NOT EXPIRED.

P.S.; during the pre-cny lunch however, Suwen & I were still in the midst of our “YC Fast” & she was fasting from meat & I was fasting from anything & everything SPICY. So yeah, suwen brought her own vegetarian lunch, & I couldn’t touch the bottle of chilli that was sitting RIGHT THERE,  ALL ALONE, COLD & LONELY. But yeah, we made it through.
